Booking, cancellation and delays

  • The person on the booking form must be the same as the person picking up the rental car.
  • If the car is not collected within 1 hour of the agreed pick-up time, ARN has the right to rent it to another customer.
  • If you cancel your booking 48 hours or more before picking up your car, the payment you made will be refunded.
  • If you cancel your booking within 48 hours of collection, the payment you made will be refunded, minus the equivalent of 3 days’ rental fee:
  • If your booking was shorter than 3 days, there will be no any extra charges, but you will not be refunded.
  • If you fail to turn up on the agreed time or date, and/or fail to present the mandatory documentation, and/or do not provide a payment card with sufficient funds, the rental company might not let you pick up the car. If this occurs, the payment you have made will be refunded, minus the equivalent of 3 days’ rental fee: If your booking was shorter than 3 days, there will be no any extra charges, but you will not be refunded.
  • Customers will be charged a penalty fee of 350 SEK per day including taxes, plus the equivalent of 1 day’s rental fee, if the car is returned late (1 h after the agreed return time). Customers also need to be aware that the car insurance will no longer be valid, and that they personally have to pay for any damages. The authorities (e.g. the police) will also be aware that the car is no longer legally rented.

No-Show – A booking counts as a "no-show" when you:

  • want to cancel, but do not notify us before the start of the rental period, or
  • do not pick up the car at the agreed time and date, or
  • fail to present the necessary documentation at the pick-up, or
  • do not have a payment card in the name of the driver with sufficient funds.

In these cases, we do not refund the payments that have been made.

Changing your booking

  • You can modify your booking at any time before picking up your car. Please call us or send us an e-mail, and we will help you.
  • If you want to make any modifications within 48 hours of the pick-up time, please call us instead. We do not charge any extra fees if you modify the booking, but:
  • Modifications may affect the rate for the rental car.

Please note: Certain modifications require us to cancel your booking and make a new booking instead. The rate is based on the time you have chosen to pick up and return the car before the start of the rental period. If you collect the car at a later time, or return the car at an earlier time, you will not be refunded for any unused hours or days.

Payment

  • Payment can be made online when booking or on-site at the depot. We only accept card payments.

Other costs

  • If any extra costs incur for damages, fuel or similar, we will send you a subsequent request for funds via e-mail or invoice.
  • The client is liable for any fines and tolls, as well as traffic and parking violations, and ARN will charge an administration fee for these.
